Alumni Events

The future! And now what? Do you have questions about what to do when you graduate? Do you have that entrepreneurial side but don’t know how to put it into practice? Or are you just curious about the career path of a former student?

In partnership with Técnico Alumni Network (TT@Técnico), we promote contact between current and former students in  Alumni Talks and E.Stories initiatives. At these events you will be able to share experiences in an informal setting.

Alumni Talks

Created in 2014, Alumni Talks event are usually a breakfast, in a relaxed and welcoming  atmosphere, providing contact between former and current Técnico students. For about 2 hours, students can have a clearer understanding of the job market and take advantage of the various networking moments to ask questions, make themselves known and share interests and experiences.

During the year are held two to three editions, with different themes. From consulting to entrepreneurship, every issue is unique! The March edition is marked by International Women’s Day, being this the main focus of the event, Women Edition.

E. Stories

The Alumni E. Stories event began in October 2017 and aims, in each edition, to make known to Técnico students two alumni who have been distinguished in their career by their entrepreneurial side.

These events take place in the late afternoon and provide the opportunity for students to hear stories shared by the two alumni, for about 1 hour. Afterwards, there will be a coffee break, during which both parts can have an informal conversation and ask whichever questions might come up.

The initiative has been associated with the E.Awards LaunchPad which aims to support and reward the best projects developed in the Entrepreneurship Curriculum Units.

Upcoming editions:

Stay tuned to our social networks! We will disclose the dates, invited alumni and the entire program of upcoming Alumni events.

Alumni Talks, jointly with Technology Transfer Office, were recognized in 2020 as a Técnico Best Practice in the Comunication category, at the 4th ObservIST Meeting.
